The annual International Aviation Snow Symposium featured a snow plowing rodeo complete with representatives from all over the country competing for the title of "Best Snow Plow Driver" in the world. Participants from as far-away as Norway and Alaska ventured to Buffalo to get some tips on aviation snow management and take their turn on the obstacle course.

The Original Kazoo Company in Eden has been producing metal kazoos since 1916 and still uses the original machinery from 1916, a machine workers affectionately call "Big Mama." The factory is now owned by Sasi (Suburban Adult Services Inc.). The Kazoo Boutique, owned by Karen Smith, offers the tours. Visitors come from all over the world.

A father died after rescuing his 8-year-old daughter from a burning multifamily home near ECMC early Friday morning. A second man was found dead in an upstairs apartment. The 8-year-old girl died of her burns 65 days later.

Downtown Buffalo's newest apartment address is now ready for tenants at 510 Washington St., after a $4.65 million conversion of the former Loews Theater Company warehouse, built in the 1920s.
