New life for Our Lady of Lourdes Church
Tuesday, February 14, 2017
The "new" French Catholic Church, built at the corner of Main and Best streets, by the congregation of the old St. Peter’s Church, was dedicated in 1898. The cornerstone bears the name of the church in both French and English, “Notre Dame de Lourdes” and “Our Lady of Lourdes.” The church was abandoned years ago. Ellicott Development is proposing a six-story building that will be a prominent part of its Our Lady of Lourdes Church campus.
